A Summit police officer on the job for just two months apprehended a man accused of taking a woman’s belongings by using a tracking device in her phone on Thursday.

Summit Police Chief James Isaac said officers Domonique Magee and Scott Reeves arrested LaKevion Jefferson after receiving a call of an auto burglary.

Pike County sheriff’s officials are looking for a man they suspect committed a July 4 convenience store robbery in Summit.

Chief investigator Greg Martin said Joshua Joseph, 19, 1107 Sherman Road, Magnolia, is one of three men officials believe held up the Exxon on Highway 98 West.
