Little Theatre to present modern spin on ‘MacBeth’

The Pike County Little Theatre will present a modern-day version of Shakespeare’s “MacBeth” Thursday through Sunday at the Depot Theatre in McComb.

This production is the first Shakespearean play performed by the group in more than two decades, said director Michael Graves.

Fernwood firefighters celebrate new station

Fernwood residents may see a future decrease in homeowner’s insurance as a result of the benefits brought about by a new fire station.

Fire Chief Chris Kyzar said the department held a grand opening April 4 at the site on Dogwood Drive, where the old station had stood since 1974.

Parklane readies for rodeo

Parklane Academy will host its 10th Annual Pro Rodeo April 10-11 at the Pike County Fairgrounds.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:30 p.m.

“It’s a full rodeo as far as bareback, bull riding, barrel racing,” said Sid Siebert, Parklane’s high school principal.
