The North Pike High School softball team hosted a tournament Saturday and was scheduled to play three games, but only got one match-up in because of weather conditions.

South Pike drops two games at Columbia

South Pike’s baseball team played a doubleheader at Columbia High on Tuesday. The rainy weather forced the Eagles (2-10) to travel for the second straight home game. South Pike fell in the first contest, 18-6, and were blanked by the Cougars, 10-0.

Jaguars fall by 1 to Wesson

The North Pike High School baseball team had its chances to beat Wesson at home Saturday, but the Jaguars’ comeback attempt fell short. The Cobras defeated the North Pike 6-5.

North Pike head coach George Lott said he believes his group could have gotten off to a better start.
