Eagles open season with many new faces

The South Pike football team opens the 2015 season with new faces at nearly every position.

Eagles head coach John Culpepper has said the team needs to improve in all phases each week but the players and coaches will need the support from the fans and community to reach their full potential.

Parklane drops opener to Jackson Prep Tuesday 7-5

The Parklane Academy baseball team hosted the first of a three-game series against Jackson Prep on Tuesday night. With winds clocking near 10 miles per hour, fans brought out blankets and heaters to watch the Pioneers take the lead early in the first inning. But Jackson Prep (29-3, 14-1) defeated Parklane 7-5.

Eagles beat Trojans

The South Pike High School baseball team finished their season at home in a doubleheader against Amite County on Thursday. The Eagles got their second consecutive sweep defeating the Trojans, 13-3 and 10-0.

South Pike head coach Neal Smith gave credit to his team and senior leadership.

McComb beats South Pike 29-2 on senior night

The McComb High School fastpitch softball team celebrated Senior Night against South Pike High on Thursday at Sammy Clark Field. With the game called in the third inning, the Lady Tigers used almost every member of the team and defeated the Eagles 29-2.
