Today is the 67th anniversary of the opening of the United Nations. After the World War II surrender of Japan, the U.S. Navy terminated its pilot training program and transferred cadets to the regular Navy. The Navy then assigned a few of the cadets to serve as chauffeurs for the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
