A Lawrence County man shot and killed an intruder this morning during an apparent home invasion.
Around 4:30 a.m., sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home of David Maxwell, 210 Henry Cox Road, about two miles east of Monticello, and found Matthew James Javor, 30, lying dead a few feet inside Maxwell’s back door.
