A manhunt has been launched for a Pike County jail inmate who was released by mistake Monday evening — less than a month after he was sentenced to 50 years in prison for raping and kidnapping a woman at gunpoint.
Sheriff's officials said Douglas Earl Stevenson Jr., 29, 2012 W.A. Walker Road, left the jail around 7:50 p.m.
