A man accused of gunning down two McComb women at a Summit residence Tuesday night remained in jail this morning after a judge set his bond at more than $1 million.

Meanwhile, police have yet to answer many questions surrounding the double homicide that shook the typically quiet town of fewer than 2,000 residents.

McComb police arrested the second man in connection with a home invasion last month in which a woman was robbed at gunpoint while at home with her children.

Jeremy T. Bradley, 26, 4813 Kahnville Road, Gloster, faces home invasion burglary and armed robbery charges.

Amite County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Friday after he allegedly shot his 3-year-old child in the back.

Nick Joseph Guedry, 38, 5395 Meadville Road, Liberty, faces one charges of shooting into a motor vehicle and domestic violence aggravated assault.

La. man charged in Summit double homicide

Summit police arrested a Louisiana man in connection with a double homicide that occurred Tuesday night at a house near the corner of Peter and White Oak streets.

Corey Cowart, 36, of Kenner, La., faces two charges of murder.
