N. Pike meeting with supt. applicants

The North Pike School District Board of Trustees will meet today and Friday to conduct first-round interviews with its top candidates for the district’s superintendent position.

After the initial interviews, trustees will schedule interviews with the top three finalists. Trustees said those interviews would be open to the public.

A police officer arrested a Pike County woman Tuesday after he allegedly witnessed her punch a 2-year-old child several times in the head.

McComb police officers booked 24-year-old Suprell James, 2168 Van Norman Curve, on a charge of felony child abuse.
