- McComb police vehicles are parked outside S&M Food Mart at 414 Summit St., this morning following an armed robbery at 8:30 a.m. Police arrested Dequantae Magee, 17, 5094 Highway 98 E., around 10 a.m. at the corner of Higgins and Warren streets. Officers said the alleged robber entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cashier at the register. The cashier complied and the robber fled the convenience store on foot with an undetermined amount of money. Police said the suspect apparently got into a someone else’s vehicle later and drove off. No one was injured.

Suspect accused of holding up same store twice in less than a week

A Pike County teenager arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store on Monday is accused of holding up the same store just days earlier.

McComb police officers booked 17-year-old Dequantae Magee, 5094 Highway 98 E., McComb, on two counts of armed robbery.

Repo man shot at while on the job in Baertown

The McComb Police Department is investigating a near-fatal shooting of a man who was trying to repossess a vehicle in the Baertown community on Monday.

Officers received a 911 call at about 2:51 a.m. from Utica resident William Winton Warrell of Brown & Associates Auto Recovery, a Jackson-based repossession company.
