Southwest drops homecoming to ECCC 42-13

Bears soccer beat alumni, 6-3

Behind sophomore Denver Bankston’s hat trick, the Southwest Bears’ soccer team defeated the alumni squad 6-3 Saturday afternoon. The Bears will open the regular season Friday, August 22, at home against East Central.

SMCC’s Sandifer to hold softball camp

The Patsy Sandifer and Shea Johnson Fastpitch Softball Camp will be held at Southwest Mississippi Community College from July 28-29.

The camp will consist of two sessions: a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon for athletes entering grades 7-12, and an afternoon session from 1-4 p.m. for kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade.
