Alford’s Flowers owner Trisha Ray is expecting a rush of business as shoppers count down the weeks until Christmas.

Ray has owned the business, located at 115 N. Sixth St. in McComb, since 1979. She knows a few things about flowers; her parents owned Monfourt’s Florists on James Street.

Gray takes over PA girls

It’s been 27 years since Ricky Gray last coached girls basketball.

Gray takes over for Jeremy Ervin as Parklane Academy’s girls coach. Despite no returning starters from last season’s 16-15 club, Gray is nevertheless optimistic about the 2012-13 season.
