Early morning voting appeared to be going smoother than expected in both Pike and Amite counties, according to courthouse officials.
“In my 24-plus years here, I’ve never seen an election this big start off so smooth,” Pike County Circuit Clerk Roger Graves said. “It has been the smoothest election I’ve seen in a long time.”
