Golf tourney to help fulfill needy kids’ wishes

The 28th annual Coca-Cola Toys for Tots Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14, at Fernwood Country Club.

The tournament benefits Pike County Volunteers for Children and Youth and the Healing Hearts Foundation, which helps area foster children.

North Pike remains unbeaten with win over Hazlehurst

HAZLEHURST — North Pike’s basketball squads swept a pair of games from homestanding Hazlehurst Tuesday night.

The Jaguars sank six straight free throws in the final 2 minutes and change to earn a 64-48 victory.
