In the McComb city board’s work session Tuesday night, Mayor Whitney Rawlings presented a proposal for a food and beverage tax of 1 percent.
It would apply to prepared food “from every person, firm, corporation or other entity operating a restaurant, bar or both, within the City of McComb City,” the proposal said.
