Seniors hope to lead ASC to state title

It’s been a long time since Amite School Center earned some bragging rights by winning a MAIS Conference A baseball championship.

First-year ASC coach Robert Young has high hopes that will change. Young played on the last Rebel team to play for a title back in 2002.

ASC sending two to MAIS All-Star game

Amite School Center hasn’t been represented in the MAIS North/South All-Star basketball games since 2002.

That all changes Friday when 19-year-old Trevor Coleman and 17-year-old Marlee Touchstone they take to the court at Jackson Prep. The girls tip off at 11 a.m., followed by the boys at 12:45 p.m.
