Southern Cash & Pawn has been going strong in downtown McComb for a quarter century and has evolved into the largest gun retailer in southwest Mississippi.

Frank Slipher opened Southern Cash & Pawn 25 years ago and the business is still going strong today at 224 State St. in McComb.

Twice is Nice deemed a king of consginments

In the past year it’s found continued success, garnering the title of one of five top consignment shops in the state by a well-known magazine and seeing a boom in business with the expansion of a wedding and party rental business.

Dexter eliminated; Kentwood wins season finale

The Dexter Bulldogs traveled to Noxapater for the second straight season for their Class 1A first round playoff game against Noxapater. The results were much of the the same as the Bulldogs returned to Walthall County with a 46-14 spanking from the Tigers.
