Body at lake is missing Pike teen

A family is grieving after officials confirmed Thursday afternoon that the body found Wednesday at Lake Tangipahoa is that of missing 18-year-old Leslie Allen of McComb.

“We just don’t understand,” said Juliette Allen, Leslie’s aunt. “She was a sweet kid.”

City OKs plan for new ward lines

The McComb city board voted 5-1 to approve a redistricting plan at Tuesday night’s meeting, despite heavy opposition from one selectman.

Selectman Tammy Witherspoon opposed the plan, which will be further discussed during a 5 p.m. public hearing on Oct. 2.

Officials find body of missing teenager

Officials confirmed today that the body found Wednesday at Lake Tangipahoa was that of a missing teenager.

Leslie Allen was reported missng on Sept. 6, two days after deputies responded to a report of a woman acting strangely near Irene Road, and Allen was the woman in question.
