North Pike drops first game of season

The North Pike Jaguars lost their first game of the 2013-14 campaign Friday night when homestanding Brookhaven topped the Jaguars 71-47.

North Pike head coach Keith Russ said his team dug itself into too deep of a hole too early in the game and was never able to recover.

Kentwood falls short of No. 1 Haynesville

KENTWOOD La. — The Kentwood Kangaroos’ season ended Friday night following a 31-14 loss to No. 1 Haynesville, and with it likely ended the 30-year coaching career of Kentwood head coach David Currier.
