Lady Eagles win region title with defense

The North Pike Lady Jaguars picked a bad night to suffer their first Region 7-4A loss of 2014.

The Lady Jags entered Friday night’s region championship with a perfect 11-0 record in region play, but that didn’t stop the South Pike Lady Eagles from pulling out a gritty 63-55 victory in the rematch that mattered most.

Lady Jags take care of MHS

The North Pike Lady Jaguars had no trouble taking care of the McComb Lady Tigers in the semifinals of the Region 7-4A tournament Thursday evening. The top-seeded Lady Jags won 62-41 and will advance to take on the South Pike Lady Eagles in Friday night’s championship game.
