The MHSAA baseball playoffs began today with play-in series between the second- and third-place teams from the various regions across Mississippi.
As the third-place finisher in the final Region 7-4A standings, North Pike has drawn Region 5 runner-up Northeast Lauderdale for a three-game set for the right to advance.
