The South Pike baseball team split a doubleheader in non-district action at West Lincoln Saturday.
The Eagles beat the Bears 7-5 in the first game. Kadarius Varnado earned the complete-game win for South Pike giving up nine hits and walking three, while recording nine strikeouts.
Keshun Nimox, Kadarius Varnado, Brandon Andrews and Jeffery Pace had two hits each. Pace belted a 2-run homer.
Robert Holmes, LaPatrick Nimox, Kendarrius Brumfield and Blake Lantrip had one hit each.
The Eagles lost the second game to West Lincoln 21-11.
