KENTWOOD, La. — Kentwood defeated Madison Prep 55-0 Friday.
Kentwood quarterback Shyheim Carter had 101 yards on seven carries and two touchdowns. He completed 7 of 10 passes for 120 yards and a touchdown.
KHS got a safety on the visitors’ first possesion.
Still in the first quarter, Carter scored on a 13-yard run. Carter found Leslie Collins from 5 yards out and Collins scored from 20 yards out, both in the first quarter.
Kentwood’s Robert Trout scored from 13 yards 4:54 before halftime.
A bad snap on a punt allowed Kentwood’s Tyrone Brumfield to pick up the ball and run 25 yards for a score.
Seconds before halftime, Tavarious Battiste scored on a 35-yard run for a 43-0 lead.
In the third quarter, Carter scored on a 42-yard run, while Collins scored on a 14-yard fumble return.
Kentwood hosts Christian Life Friday for homecoming. Kentwood is 5-2 overall, 2-0 in District 6-1A.
