SPRINGFIELD, LA. — The winless Bogue Chitto Bobcats wanted to get their first win of the season against the winless Bulldogs of Springfield, La.
The Bulldogs proved they were the better of winless teams and came out on top with a 59-32 victory over the Bobcats in a non-conference game. The Bobcats began the game with an onside kick and recovered it. They scored first on a Trey Nettles 7-yard run.
The Bulldogs answered when Demariae Claiborne found the end zone on an 8-yard run, and again when William Barnett found the end zone on a 1-yard run.
The Bulldogs scored 8 points in the second quarter to extend their lead to 32-12 at the half.
Both teams scored in the third and fourth quarters, but the Bulldogs prevailed with a 59-32 victory.
