McComb wide receiver/defensive back Delwin Perkins Jr. has been named Mississippi Farm Bureau's Player of the Month for October.
The dynamic junior hauled in nine passes for 213 yards and four touchdowns over the past month, which included a 148-yard, three-touchdown performance in his team's 41-12 win over South Pike last week.

A tire on a contractor’s truck recently fell through the pavement on Burke Avenue, exposing a void caused by prolonged and undetected underground water leaks and erosion that will add tens of thousands of dollars to repair, an engineer told McComb officials Tuesday.
