McComb wide receiver/defensive back Delwin Perkins Jr. has been named Mississippi Farm Bureau's Player of the Month for October.
The dynamic junior hauled in nine passes for 213 yards and four touchdowns over the past month, which included a 148-yard, three-touchdown performance in his team's 41-12 win over South Pike last week.
And defensively, Perkins has been a lockdown corner for the Tigers, as he's broken up two passes and recorded a pair of tackles for loss to go along with 12 total tackles in October.
Perkins and second-seeded McComb are now gearing up for a Round One date with third-seeded Greene County, which kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday at C.C. Moore Stadium.
