The McComb Police Department is investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that left two men wounded.
Detective Victoria Carter said LaDerrick Carpenter and Marsadis Young told officers they were listening to music outside of an apartment complex on Nelson Street around 9 p.m. Friday when someone began firing from a passing car.
Carpenter was hit in the lower back and Young was shot in the right knee. Both went to Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Carter said the two victims are not cooperating with investigators, saying they don’t know who shot them, the make and model of the shooter’s car, or a possible motive.

In unrelated cases, detectives are also investigating two burglaries.
Danny Martin told officers around 9:45 p.m. Sunday that someone entered his home on Third Street and took a Sharp television and two Dell laptop computers.
And Torie Quinn told officers around 6 p.m. Saturday that someone entered her home on Missouri Avenue and took three televisions and two Sony PlayStation 3 game consoles.
