A man was arrested Saturday in connection with the shooting death that occurred the day before in McComb.
Jaquarrius Mallard was taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of Delvareo Ducksworth, 22, who was shot multiple times while sitting in his car in Dyson Street around 4 p.m.
This is the third shooting in two months in which the victims were sitting inside their cars.
On Nov. 12, Chardick McGaffney was shot while sitting in his SUV while it was parked in his driveway on Wall Street.
The following night, Jaylen Hayes was shot while sitting in his car in McComb’s Algiers neighborhood across town.
McGaffney died of his wounds, while Hayes is still recovering from his.
Police have arrested suspects in connection with those shootings.
