A man who allegedly shot and wounded two people inside a Waffle House in Brookhaven early Monday morning faces a raft of charges following his capture hours later.
The Daily Leader reported that Willie Walker III was apprehended on Loyd Star Lane and booked into the Lincoln County jail around 10 a.m. Monday.
He’s accused of opening fire at the restaurant around 1:59 a.m.
Police haven’t identified the victims.
They went by private vehicle to King’s Daughters Medical Center before being airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins said Walker faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and shooting into a motor vehicle. He said a woman who was shot was critically wounded.
