One in custody, another sought in shooting death

One person is in custody and another is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a McComb teenager.
Police said Jessie Gray was apprehended around 6:30 p.m. Friday in relation to the shooting death of Dominic McCoy, 17. McCoy was shot to death on the corner of Burke and White streets around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

17-year-old slain in McComb

A 17-year-old boy was shot to death on a street corner in a McComb neighborhood just after midnight Friday, awakening residents who reported hearing a shootout before they emerged from their houses to find the grisly scene.

Errant bullet enters bedroom, misses resident

A McComb resident said an errant bullet fired Wednesday night in the area near Douglas Park narrowly missed him.
The resident said he doesn’t believe he was targeted in the shooting but asked not to be identified.
He said a bullet went through his bedroom window between 9 and 9:30.
