McComb police are looking a man they have identified as a person of interest in a shooting that killed a Magnolia man in last week.
Dennis Bell is being sought in connection with the shooting of Kendric Carter, 42, who killed on Pearl River Avenue just east of the Locust Street intersection early Oct. 28.
Carter was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds sitting inside a Chevrolet Impala parked in a driveway of a boarding house. Security cameras at the house pointed to the front entrance and on the carport.
Detectives weren’t available for additional comment about the case on Tuesday afternoon, but police officials said Bell had not been located by then.
In another case, a McComb man has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a shooting that wounded a man earlier this month.
Wade Alexander is accused of shooting Anthony L. Wells around 11:36 p.m. Oct. 17 in the 1000 block of Venable Street.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired and found Wells lying in the middle of the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives said the investigation into the shooting as well as witness accounts led them to charging Alexander in the case.
