A Hattiesburg man accused of wounding his wife in a shooting is wanted by police there as well as federal marshals and may be hiding out in Magnolia, Hattiesburg police said.
Bert Terrell Bell, 50, is accused of shooting his wife, who was not named, on Nov. 14.
Police responded to a report of a disturbance around 4:30 that morning and found a woman who had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Police learned the suspect was Bell and issued a warrant for his arrest for domestic violence-aggravated assault.
Hattiesburg police said in a Facebook post Wednesday that Bell is believed to be in the Magnolia area.
