Main Campaign Issues	Jobs are number one, and that's why we have done so much over the past 12 years to encourage quality job growth across our state. Education is also very important. I am proud to be a part of a team that has put the most funds toward public education in the history of our state and supported the largest pay raise for our teachers. We have also passed the largest tax cut for our citizens so they can keep more of their income. Another big issue facing our state is health care. As the chairman of the public health committee in the House, I deal with many issues of health care every day. We continue to work hard to improve access to care as well as improve the outcomes of health-related matters for the citizens of our state.

My 20 years of experience and well-rounded approach to government make me the most qualified candidate. Given my tenure, I have had time to differentiate between the truly important issues vs. those that are considered to be the "hot button issues" of the day. Therefore, I am able to keep focused on what genuinely matters. As I previously noted, fro the past 12 years, I have served as Chairman of the Public Health Committee as well as serving the Appropriations Committee, where we have crafted a conservative and fiscally sound budget for our state. This leadership experience places me in a unique position to be the best candidate to continue to assist this area of Mississippi and our entire state on the matters that truly impact us all.
