Seniority matters. Being the Senator State Lawmaker for Southwest Mississippi and knowing the legislative process, has helped me bring a lot of state money into District 38 to benefit every single county. I have created productive coalitions with both Republicans and Democrats, who help me bring results to our area. This is an overwhelmingly Republican state with a Republican supermajority in both the House and Senate, but I have earned the respect and support across party lines that allow me to benefit our district. Candidates in the minority are often sidelined and ignored, but my established relationship with both sides has allowed me to bring money and state support to District 38. I am the only candidate who has those relationships. Again, experience matters!
