I'm seeking re-election to continue the momentum we have already established the last four years while in office such as the highest teacher pay raise in the State's history, a new state flag and so much more.

Main Campaign Issues	Major issues that we face is Medicaid expansion. Our state is still in a healthcare crisis. Our rural hospitals are closing, and others are on the verge of closing or struggling to stay open. The fight for Medicaid expansion must continue. Criminal Justice reform is another issue. We have to pass common sense legislation to address prison overpopulation and start passing laws that focus on helping those who have served time for a positive life and be a help to society. Education will always be a top priority of mine to ensure our children receive a high-quality education in this state.

I have the knowledge, the experience, and the drive to fight for what's right. Over the last four years I have been a voice for the people of District 98 and I have been informative about what goes on in Jackson. Also, I have made an effort to be present, even during Covid. I'm not just a "show up during election time" elected official. I take phone calls, I take the emails, I show up to the meetings so I can better represent my district. I have brought home over 30 millions dollars, served as parliamentarian of the Mississippi Black Caucus, and been elected by my fellow colleagues as the vice chair of the House Democrats. All in my first term while also maintaining a career practicing law. Knowledge. Experience. Drive. These are a few things that make me the most qualified.
