Main Campaign Issues	We need to increase the total number of deputies on patrol. We need to be competitive with salary and benefits for our deputies. It is easier to maintain a great Sheriff's office if we can pay our men and women more than other surrounding agencies. The emergence of "youth gangs" that have crossed from other counties into ours. The use, purchase and continued increase of illegal drugs has led to an increase in other crimes. With continued illegal drug use it will eventually lead that person to commit crimes to obtain the drugs as well as possible mental health issues. Those issues are all tied together.

I have 33 years of law enforcement and military experience and want to continue to serve Pike County. I started in law enforcement as a patrolman with McComb PD. I moved over to the sheriff's office and worked my way up through the ranks of Deputy, Sergeant of Patrol, Lieutenant of Patrol, Captain of Patrol, and Detective in investigations all while working at the Pike County Sheriff's Office. I then worked for the Town of Liberty, whereas I was the Assistant Chief and then Chief of Police for several years. I came back to the Pike County Sheriff's Office as Chief Deputy. I have the experience, knowledge, training, and love for Pike County.
