There will be no late fees for water bills this month due to a delay in sending out the bills, McComb officials said.
“Due to administrative conflict at city hall, water bills are being mailed late and there will be no late fee charge this month,” Mayor Quoridniah Lockley said Thursday.
Water bills are usually mailed out on the first of the month with a due date of the 15th. Once the date passes, the bill can be paid with a late fee without water services being shut off. Lockley said the bills would still must be paid by Sept. 26 or residents risk having their water shut off.
