Walsh had 84 votes (55%) to Morgan’s 69 (45%).
Incumbent aldermen Curtis E. Seay, John D. Shivers, Joshua D. Gurney and Lenora Nunnery Morgan all won re-election, and Charlotte “Cissy” Williams Canova will join them on the board.
Seay had 120 votes, while Shivers had 108, Canova and Gurney both had 94, and Morgan had 92.
Also running were Lisa Bateman, who had 80, and Maxim Gerald Miller, who had 82.
