Mississippi State and Southern Miss will meet for the 32nd time to open the 2025 football season, and the Bulldogs and Golden Eagles are set to clash at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30.
The game will be played in Hattiesburg and televised by ESPN.
The kick-off time was announced alongside other early season college football TV decisions. Mississippi State will host Arizona State at 6:30 p.m. during Week 2, and the Bulldogs will welcome in-state foe Alcorn State for a matchup at 5 p.m. the following week.
Southern Miss will keep the Charles Huff era rolling when it hosts Jackson State at 4 p.m. on Sept. 6, and USM will take on Appalachian State at "The Rock" during Week 3.
Ole Miss will open its season with a prime-time home game against Georgia State at 6:45 p.m. The Rebels will then travel to Lexington to face Kentucky at 2:30 p.m. before hosting Arkansas at 6 p.m. the following week.
LSU has known for a while that it will open its season under the lights at that other Death Valley, but the Bayou Bengals now know that they will host both Louisiana Tech and Florida at night for Weeks 2 and 3.
