The wait for waffle fries and chicken sandwiches ends Thursday, when Chick-fil-A opens its new restaurant in McComb.
The Chick-fil-A on Edgewood Drive in front of the Uptown McComb mall opens 11 a.m. Thursday. Its regular hours of 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday begin Friday.
The restaurant will bring about 120 full- and part-time jobs, company officials said. Mark Lindsey is the independent franchise owner and operator of Chick-fil-A in McComb.
Lindsey has been affiliated with Chick-fil-A since 2018, having previously worked as director of food safety and later as the director of talent in Bartlett, Tenn.
“I am thrilled to start serving and investing in the McComb community,” he said. “I have always had family here, so it has felt like coming home. I want to bring the same sense of belonging to our guests and team members.”
“We want to become a vital part of the neighborhood. I’m really looking forward to showing care to our community and building long-lasting relationships.”
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the McComb area to aid in the fight against hunger.
The restaurant also will be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which sends surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits.
Chick-fil-A operates more than 2,700 restaurants in 48 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada.
