The MHSAA 3A All-State teams were announced Monday, and Tylertown had a plethora of athletes featured among the different squads.
Do-it-all sophomore receiver Landon Thompson was named to the All-State second team. He racked up 48 catches for 870 yards while also rushing for 228 yards and accounting for 15 total touchdowns.
Sophomore Martin Quinn Jr. was named second-team all-state long snapper.
Junior Keonnis Davis was named 3A Region 8 Most Valuable Offensive Player of the Year, as the quarterback threw for 2,180 yards and 23 touchdowns while also rushing for 581 yards and eight scores.
Junior running back Jermaine Pittman was named to the Region 8 first team after rushing for 569 yards and six scores, and he was joined by senior receiver Cade Magee, who caught 44 passes for 632 yards and seven scores.
Senior offensive lineman Anthony Page, senior defensive linemen Tyren Ratliff and Jaden Lenoir, sophomore linebacker Martin Quinn, senior safety Landon Lenoir and senior athlete Kendarrin Gatlin also earned first-team honors. Ratliff racked up 60 tackles and 13 tackles for loss, Lenoir recorded 90 tackles and four sacks and Quinn tacked on 62 tackles. Lenoir accounted for 54 tackles, three interceptions and three forced fumbles, while Gatlin had three interceptions and 118 yards receiving.
Senior guard Jaden Ratliff, senior tackle Kimono McClain, freshman defensive tackle Kevonte Carr, junior defensive tackle R’mon Carson and junior defensive back Jordan Williams also placed on the first team.
