The MHSAA revealed its 2024 2A All-Region teams this week, and Region 7 included plenty of local athletes.
Amite County's Xzavier Allen was named offensive MVP at running back, while Bogue Chitto's Warren Wallace earned Co-Defensive MVP honors. The Bobcats' Jayden Poole was named Special Teams MVP.
From Amite County, Kenan Miner, Chris Seedan, Marcus Day, Keegan Handy and Xzavion White were all named to the All-Region First Team.
Jacaden Abram, Raijuan Clark, Kenarius Thompson and Joshua Goodrich earned spots on the second team, while Jacoby Roberts, O'Darion Jones and Kevin Bailey were honorable mentions for the Trojans.
Bogue Chitto saw Noah Magee, Isaiah Collins, Gavin Cannon, Hayden Avants, Alex Roberts and Kayson Magee earn first-team honors.
Ethan Bales, Tyler Pruden, Javis Gibson and Jabari Stafford took up spots on the second team, while Amari Thomas, Aaden Kirkland and Gavin Hawley were named honorable mentions.
