David Lee Brewer and Amelia Carter advanced to a runoff for Pike County Judge in Tuesday's general election.
Brewer had 3,419 votes (37%) to Carter’s 2,176 (23%). Jason Tate had 2,056 votes and Nelson Estess had 1,592.
That's excluding 130 affidavit ballots that have yet to be counted.
The winner of the runoff will replace John Price, who is retiring after 23 years in office.
In the special election for Central District Justice Court Judge, Loretta Thompson Conerly and Sheilar Conerly Pickens are headed to a runoff.
Conerly has 1,057 votes (48%) and Pickens has 688 (30%). Danyell Martin finished third with 324 votes and Naomi Smith had 144.
And the South Pike school board is getting a new member as Tonya Brumfield defeated incumbent trustee Clara Conerly.
Brumfield had 405 (55)%) votes, while Conerly had 171 (23%). Marie Richard had 156.
