McComb police have taken into custody a local pastor accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
Officers responded to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center emergency room at 12:40 p.m. last Friday after receiving a report of a sexual assault on a minor.
“During the course of the investigation and after talking with witnesses and the victim, it was determined that Kuri K. McCray was the primary suspect in the sexual assault,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Police issued a bulletin for McCray on Tuesday, saying a warrant had been issued for his arrest and that he could be in either Pike or Walthall counties.
They followed that alert up shortly thereafter, saying McCray was in custody.
