No one was injured in a shooting in McComb on Sunday night that resulted in at least to occupied houses reportedly taking gunfire.
The shooting on Burke Street in the corner of Wheelock Street was reported around 9 p.m.
Police on the scene placed evidence markers for more than two dozen spent shell casings of three different calibers — .223, commonly used in semi-automatic rifles, and .40-caliber and 9mm.
That indicates multiple people were likely involved.
Two houses in the 900 block of Wheelock were reported hit by the gunfire.
Police said nobody was hurt in the shooting.
