Despite hiring two firefighters earlier this month, McComb Fire Chief David Fischer still has 10 openings on his staff.
“We had one quit last week and Preston Wells, who’s got 34 years of service, is retiring,” he told the city board Tuesday.
Wells’ last day is March 31.
Fischer said he is trying to attract new hires.
