South Pike students participate in Signing Day

While football players receive much of the attention on Signing Day, other students are participating in the annual festitivites as well.

And at South Pike, Cortavion Gooden, Paris Martin, Ty’keria Tate and De’Breylon Lee all put pen-to-paper with their respective schools.

The final Signing Period began Wednesday, with high school athletes across the country pledging to further their careers at the collegiate level.

Such was certainly the case in Magnolia, as a quartet of Eagles took part in Signing Day festivities and put pen-to-paper alongside a host of family and friends.

A trio of standout linemen from Parklane’s 2025 state-title team took part in Signing Day festivities, as they each pledged to further their careers at the junior-college level.

Veteran offensive linemen Arrocus “Roc” Baskin Jr. and Alston Davidson joined monstrous defensive end Telvin Jefferson in signing Wednesday.
