A McComb selectman Tuesday asked why some people are being held in jail without their cases going to a grand jury in a timely manner, while others who have been accused of violent crimes are afforded the opportunity to be released and then are accused of commit ting similar offenses.

McComb Police Chief Juan Cloy recognized a Bogue Chitto man at Tuesday evening’s McComb city board work session for recently coming to the aid of a stranger — before revealing a plot twist.
Cloy said a man was working out several weeks ago when he started breathing heavily and became distressed.

City leaders address gun violence
