Saying the mistakes of his youth shouldn’t determine his future, a man asked a judge for leniency as he was sentenced to 30 years for a drive-by shooting, and another man convicted of a murder committed when he was 16 unsuccessfully argued for his early release in court proceedings Monday morning in Magnolia.
