Local parents of boys ranging in age from 5-17 have an opportunity to get their sons involved in a Christian-based scouting program. Pike County now boasts two chapters of Trail Life USA.

While pursuing a career in health care, Angela Abeyta never gave up on her love for creating beautiful, inspiring works of art.
She now works as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, and she recently had an art exhibition at Gulf South Art Gallery in Summit.

Fourth Friday event returns next week to downtown

The Fourth Friday Family Night Market began in June in downtown McComb and will continue each fourth Friday through October at the Bo Diddley Pavilion from 7-10 p.m. The next event will be Friday.

3 from area competing for state Miss Hospitality title

Three area contestants will compete next weekend alongside 44 other young ladies from across the state for the Mississippi Miss Hospitality 2025 title.
Jordyn Nellum is representing Pike County, while Brentley Ann Johnston is representing Amite County and Hallie Holmes is representing Walthall County.
